For the first time in 16-years, iWeek, South Africa’s leading annual Internet industry conference will be held in Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa at the Southern Sun Elangeni and Maharani, a spectacular landmark on the Golden Mile. This year, iWeek will be held in conjunction with the South African Network Operators Group.

SAFNOG-3 will take place on 5-6 September.

The first day of iWeek, Monday, 4 September, will include ISPA workshops and presentations. We will also be hosting the prestigious Teachers’ Training Award Ceremony on the evening of the 4th. This awards dinner pays tribute to teachers who have participated in skills training and successfully imparted their newly-acquired knowledge to the local communities or have in some way made a marked difference to their schools.

Also as part of iWeek, the Internet Society will be hosting an ION conference on 7 September. ION conferences bring network engineers and leading industry experts together to discuss emerging technologies including IPv6 and DNSSEC.
