Christian Wirtz is the Chief Commercial Officer of MetroFibre Networx and in this function he is accountable for all revenue generating business units and teams within the company. Christian joined MetroFibre from inq. Digital where he was the Group Chief Executive Officer with operations across 8 countries in Africa. Prior to inq. Digital Christian was with MTN where he held the role of Executive for Enterprise Solutions & Operations in South Africa and since July 2020 also acted in the role of Executive Group Enterprise.
Before joining MTN Christian held several Senior Management roles in Vodacom South Africa, Vodafone Germany as well as in the Vodafone Group organisation. Before joining Vodafone, Christian spent 7 years with McKinsey&Company where he worked on several telecom projects as a Senior Engagement Manager.
Christian holds a PhD in Economics, is married and has a 17 years old son. He is German, loves France, good wine and sports.
