The Annual SA Internet Industry Event

Celebrates 16th Year
04 – 07 September 2017

For the first time in 16-years, iWeek , South Africa’s leading annual Internet industry conference will be held in Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa from 4-7 September 2017 at the Southern Sun Elangeni and Maharani, a spectacular  landmark on the Golden Mile.  

This year, iWeek will be held in conjunction with the South African Network Operators Group (SAFNOG).  SAFNOG will be hosting their event from 5 – 6  September.   

The partners for this year include, ISPA, INX-ZA, the ZA Central Registry (ZACR), the ZA Domain Name Authority (ZADNA), ISOC-Gauteng and ISOC International.  

The Internet Society will be hosting their ION conference on 7 September.  ION conferences bring network engineers and leading industry experts together to discuss emerging technologies including IPv6 and DNSSEC.   

ISPA day

The ISPA day will be held on Monday, 4 September.  ISPA will be hosting the prestigious Teachers’ Training Award Ceremony on the evening of the 4th.  This awards dinner pays tribute to teachers who have participated in skills training and successfully imparted their newly-acquired knowledge to the local communities or have in some way made a marked difference to their schools.  

Topics to be discussed include:

  • How to Survive in a Highly Competitive Market
  • International Trends
  • Internet shutdowns
  • Regulatory updates

A wide variety of tutorials, seminars, training sessions and workshops running in parallel to the plenary events will be provided by the partners, ensuring that a range of interesting and relevant topics are presented to industry.

Attendees to iWeek each year are ISP and WISP representatives, technicians, engineers, managers and business owners. In addition, iWeek also attracts a broad selection of Internet governance stakeholders, the legal fraternity, hardware vendors, academia, representatives from non-profit organisations working in the Internet space, and important government representatives.

Sponsorship allows your organisation to market its services to the core Internet audience in South Africa, and position itself as an active player in the industry. It provides an excellent opportunity to network with leading industry stakeholders, developers and customers.  Participation should be considered by equipment vendors, wholesale Internet service providers, and providers of ISP support services.

SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

ISPA day R100 000,00 (excl VAT)

This sponsor is entitled to the following:

  • Accommodation for one-representative for the duration of the conference.
  • 15-minute product address during the first day of the conference proceedings.
  • Placing of printed material / brochures / flyers near the registration table for delegates.
  • Providing branded give-aways such as pens or notepads or any other promotional items, thereby gaining additional exposure.
  • Corporate logo on the official iWeek website with a link to company’s website.
  • 100-Word promotional paragraph on the sponsorship page of the iWeek website. Content to be provided.
  • Logo and promotional paragraph on the official iWeek programme. Listed as the “ISPA-day” sponsor.
  • Four (4) free-standing 1M x 2M banners to be placed in the reception and tea/coffee area as well at the venue entrance on the first day of the conference.
  • Additional branding may be permitted, subject to discussion with the organisers.
  • Sponsorship of six (6) representatives to attend of the gala dinner. Partners are welcome to attend.(An exclusive offer for maximum exposure and high visibility)

Delegate gifts R75 000,00 (excl VAT)

250 delegate gifts are required, which will be handed to delegates on the first day of the conference. The gift will be branded with the sponsor’s name. There is also the option for the sponsor to provide their own branded gift but the item will be subjected to the approval of the organisers.

Lanyards R15 000,00 (excl VAT)

250 lanyards are required. Take-up this opportunity to advertise your company with branded lanyards. The sponsor will be responsible for the full cost of branding and making up of the lanyards.

Connectivity sponsor

Although the iWeek venue does have limited Internet access facilities, we are looking for an Internet service provider to provide additional capacity to the venue, as well as to set-up additional access points at the venue. A specification of the Internet access requirements is available as a separate document.

EXHIBITION Cost 12 500,00 (excl VAT)

Exhibitors are entitles to the following:

• One table (1.8M x 870mm)
• One -PULL-UP banner, 900m in width will be permitted next to your table
• White tablecloth with black overlay
• Two chairs per table
• One standing sign with the name of the company
• White bowl to be used for candy, flowers or business cards
• Corporate logo on the official ISPA iWeek website with a link to company’s website
• 40-Word promotional paragraph on the ISPA sponsorship page under exhibitors
