Director of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN)
Mike Silber is an admitted attorney and Policy and Special Projects Specialist at Neotel. Mike is also a Director of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) as an appointee of the country code Names Supporting Organisation, the first South African and only the fifth African to hold such a position. Mike is a former regulatory advisor to the Internet Service Providers’ Association and is also a non-executive Director of the .za Domain Name Authority. He is also a founder member of the Internet Society (South African Chapter).
Mike has have been recognised by Who’s Who Legal as one of the foremost South African Internet and e-Commerce lawyers and is a frequent speaker, lecturer and trainer.
When not spending time in front of a computer and marvelling at the growth of the Internet, Mike can be found on cold winter’s mornings dry land sledding with his four Siberian Huskies.
